Peace advocates from Indian and Dutch communities gathered in Amsterdam for a commemoration of Gandhi’s legacy, bringing together the Gandhi Global Family and the Church of Scientology Netherlands around peace, non-violence and human dignity.
Taking place beside the Mahatma Gandhi monument on Amsterdam’s Churchilllaan, the event included Ram Mohan Rai, General Secretary of Gandhi Global Family, Scientology representatives and human rights advocates. Participants also discussed future cooperation in human rights education and youth engagement.
The Church of Scientology’s support for human rights education is rooted in the humanitarian work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, who encouraged Scientologists to support initiatives advancing fundamental human rights.
Ivan news eu taxonomy Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, highlighted the importance of cooperation across different beliefs and backgrounds, stressing that knowledge of human rights can support social cohesion and democratic resilience.
